Recommended Reads: Favorite Contemporary Books

I've been thinking about more recurring "segments" that I could do on this blog and that led to me thinking about certain segments that I always look forward to on other blogs. One that I knew I wanted to start is something I'm going to call "Recommend Reads", where I will be recommending my favorite books from certain genres. For my first "Recommend Reads", I am going to be sharing my favorite contemporary books. It's summer and I know that I am personally always looking for some good contemporary reads when it's warm and sunny outside. Some contemporaries are fluffy and romantic and others are more hard hitting and focused on real life problems, but there's just something about summer that always makes me gravitate towards stories that take place in a real, tangible world. I found that making this list was very hard for me. I've separated the books into categories, but I kept finding some books that overlapped in multiple categories in my head. Nevertheless, I think what I have come up with is something good and I'm very happy to share with you my thoughts. Let me know if you have any recommendations in the comments below... I would LOVE to check them out this summer!
