October Reading Wrap-Up

A bunch of short books and graphic novels this month, but it worked so well for me. It allowed me to spend no more than a couple days on each thing, but I still got through SO much! As far as the quality... I have had better months, but I did read some of my favorites of the year. So... let's get started!

The Fade Out: Act Two by Ed Brubaker, Sean Phillip, and Elizabeth Breitweiser
Series: The Fade Out #2
My Rating: ★★★☆☆

Maybe Not by Colleen Hoover
Series: Maybe #1.5
My Rating: ★★★

One Dark Throne by Kendare Blake
Series: Three Dark Crowns #2
My Rating: ★★★

November 9 by Colleen Hoover
My Rating: ★★★☆☆

The Fade Out: Act Three by Ed Brubaker, Sean Phillip, and Elizabeth Breitweiser
Series: The Fade Out #3
My Rating: ★★★☆☆

The Walking Dead: Here's Negan! by Robert Kirkman, Charlie Adlard, Cliff Rathburn, and Dave Stewart
Series: The Walking Dead
My Rating: ★★★☆☆

Slasher Girls & Monster Boys edited by April Genevieve Tucholke
My Rating: ★★★☆☆

There's Someone Inside Your House by Stephanie Perkins
My Rating: ★★★☆☆

Turtles All The Way Down by John Green
My Rating: ★★★
Side Note: IT'S BEEN 6 YEARS SINCE WE'VE HAD A JOHN GREEN BOOK! I think it's safe to say that this book was one of my most anticipated of the year and I really enjoyed it. This book is an emotional roller coaster dealing with mental health and it was done so well... it had me feeling really uncomfortable at moments. With that said, I still like The Fault in Our Stars a little more but this is probably my second favorite.

The Problem with Forever by Jennifer L. Armentrout
My Rating: ★★☆☆

All the Crooked Saints by Maggie Stiefvater

My Rating: ★★★☆☆
Side Note: Listened to this book on audiobook and I don't think it was the best choice. I wish I had read it (and maybe someday I will) because I struggled to focus with this audiobook.

Nimona by Noelle Stevenson
My Rating: ★★★
Side Note: I LOVED this graphic novel... no idea why it took me so long to get to it. READ IT PLEASE 😊!

The Ship of the Dead by Rick Riordan
Series: Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard #3
My Rating: ★★★

The Walking Dead, Vol. 28: A Certain Doom by Robert Kirkman, Charlie Adlard, Cliff Rathburn, Stefano Gaudiano, and Dave Stewart
Series: The Walking Dead #28
My Rating: ★★★

Without Merit by Colleen Hoover
My Rating: ★★★☆☆

Coraline by Neil Gaiman
My Rating: ★★★☆☆

Ronit & Jamil by Pamela L. Laskin
My Rating: ★★☆☆
Side Note: This was my first book written in verse. Not only was this as Romeo and Juliet retelling, it was also a Y/A story about the conflict between Israel and Palestine. However, it did not take the time to elaborate on the conflict or prejudice. Basically, I wanted more.

Exit West by Moshin Hamid
My Rating:★★☆☆
